Zumbi Ole (or Zombie Dribble) is an brazilian indie game resulting from a partnership between developers Carranca Games and Trixter Interactive. In this game I was responsible for the soundtrack and sound effects.
The game had an article published by the Game Blast website in 2016, which highlighted:
“The Game is an Infinity Game, in the style of the most well-known Runners. In the plot, Yara and her brother are trapped in a zombie apocalypse, and she decides to finish off the undead with soccer dribbles, while her brother films his performance from atop a tower for posterity.
That is, the objective is to be able to spend as much time as possible dodging zombies and fulfilling daily objectives. There are “turn changes” during the action, which add some difficult for the player, making the screen darker (and also increasing the number of zombies to be dodged). For the score, the game will have an international and local table, so the players can compete for the high score.”
Zumbi Ole at CCXP 2015
The game Zumbi Ole was presented to the public during the CCXP 2015 fair, having an excellent approval. Adults and children played the game at Carranca and Trixter’s stand.
I was at the fair for a few hours to check the public’s reactions and it was great to see people having fun with the game.
In the video below you can check out the reactions from people who played.
Zumbi Ole Theme
The theme music brings the feeling of fun and action with elements and melody that mixes suspense with a little humor. I created the songs using Reason software to model the synthesizer tones.
Three songs were created for the game and you can listen to them on Spotify. Below is a snippet of one of the songs.
