Born on February 13, 1987 in the city of São Paulo, Alex Iervolino is a Brazilian composer, arranger, sound designer and guitarist.

His musical trajectory began at the age of 13, when he decided to learn to play a guitar that belonged to his late grandfather and which had been kept at home for a long time. Determined to pursue a musical career, he began his studies at “Faculdade de Música Souza Lima” (a renowned college of music in São Paulo) with an emphasis on composition and arrangement, and specialized in “Orchestrating and Producing Music for Film and Games at Berklee Online”. As a composer, he creates soundtracks for Brazilian electronic games, films and advertising, also performing sound design in several projects. Having also created different arrangements for string quartets and quintets, bands of different formations, choirs, electronic music and others, he brings an eclectic musical background with different aesthetic visions.

He studied guitar with renowned musicians such as Lupa Santiago (Sinequanon and others) and Jarbas Barbosa (Mantiqueira band). He also studied composition, harmony, arrangement and band practice with great musicians from the Brazilian scene such as Sizão Machado, Carlos Ezequiel, Rodrigo Ursaia, Daniel Maldonnet, Guilherme Ribeiro, Bob Wyatt, Douglas Fonseca, Gilberto de Syllos and Marcelo Coelho.

In 2015 he released his first album as a composer aimed at the video game industry, called Unnatural. In 2019 he built his first music studio located in Vila Mariana (São Paulo), offering audio services and also acting as a guitar, acoustic guitar and music theory teacher.

He currently lives with his cat Mila in the countryside of São Paulo where he built his home studio and is involved as a composer and sound designer several projects. Also he is producing his first Brazilian music album, in which he has the partnership of writer, poet and philosopher Ulysses Barros in several lyrics.
